About Us
Our Simple Goal
We are committed to glorifying God by helping others grow in their commitment to Him. To this end we study the Bible together, worship God together, and meet together to encourage and strengthen each other as the church did in the first century (see Ephesians 3:20-21). Our vision for the congregation continues to be what God has always wanted it to be – a loving and supportive spiritual family of faithful Christians (see Romans 12:3-8).
Simple Organization
Jesus is the "head" of the church (see Ephesians 1:20-23), thus, the church has no earthly head or headquarters. Each congregation is independent and self-governing under the oversight of the elders of each church, like the various congregations mentioned in the New Testament (see Acts 14:21-23; 1 Peter 5:1-4; 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9). God works through the local church to spread His word as we all use our strengths and abilities to further His will as revealed in the Bible (see 1 Timothy 3:8-13; Ephesians 4:11-16).
A Simple Message
Our basic message is the same message preached by the earliest disciples: "Jesus Christ, and Him crucified" (see 1 Corinthians 2:2). The life of Jesus is a true expression of God's nature, the death of Jesus was the supreme expression of God's love, and the resurrection of Jesus is our promise of eternal life. The story of Jesus is revealed in the Bible and so we spend a lot of time learning and applying it to our lives to know Jesus better.
Our message is simple: Know Jesus and make Him known.
Simple Worship
God commands us to be people "without hypocrisy" (see Romans 12:9). We have struggles and understand the challenges to doing what is right and serving God. Because we have experienced the devastation of sin we can be that much more grateful to God for giving us the hope of heaven.
Our worship services are simple but reflect the tremendous thanks in our hearts to a loving, forgiving God. In our singing we seek to emphasize praise from the heart (see Ephesians 5:19). Each week we partake of the Lord's Supper to remember the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and the love surrounding that event (see 1 Corinthians 11:23-26). Our prayers express to God our thanks and praise to Him for all He has done for us (see Colossians 3:16).
A Simple Plea
We want everyone to know the joy that comes from a life given to God. Your spiritual growth is most important to us and our prayer is that you would be a faithful servant of God. We offer group classes as well as individual classes that deal with any aspect of your relationship with God. Please let us help you in your walk with God.
"For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again." (see 2 Corinthians 5:14-15)
